The Chicago Cubs announced 24 non-roster spring training invitees on Friday.
Including the 40 players on the Cubs’ roster and the 24 invitees the team will bring 64 players to camp.
Minor league catchers Luis Flores and Will Remillard will also assist in camp, most likely in the early stretch during split-squad games.
Pitchers and catchers report to Mesa, Ariz. on Feb. 13 while position players report Feb. 18. The first full-squad workout is Feb. 18, and the Cubs open the first spring training season at Cubs Park on Feb. 27 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
