Chicago Cubs management indicated earlier this off-season they were ‘all-in’ on signing Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka and now reports are surfacing the Dodgers are too but the Cubs are willing to make a nine-figure investment.

Around the league, the Alex Rodriguez suspension is likely to come down in the next few days and the Washington Nationals agreed to a $3.975M deal with their star pitcher Stephen Strasburg to avoid arbitration.
