Monday night was deadline to non-tender eligible players and the Chicago Cubs tendered contracts to seven arbitration-eligible players and signed two players. Cubbies Crib will have a full breakdown of the Cubs moves later today.

Around the league, the Detroit Tigers traded Doug Fister to the Washington Nationals, A.J. Pierzynski signed with the Boston Red Sox, the Oakland Atheltics acquired American League saves leader Jim Johnson, and the Seattle Mariners signed utility man Willie Bloomquist.
