Japanese star pitcher Mashario Tanaka is on hold to coming to Major League Baseball after the league withdrew its proposal on making a new bidding process for players from Japan’s top league. CSN Chicago’s David Kaplan reported Friday that the Cubs have talked to right-hander Jeff Samardzija about a contract extension amidst the trade rumors circling about him.
