Cubbies Crib: Morning Marquee 10/29

The Detroit Tigers will interview Brad Ausmus and Rick Renteria for their manager vacancy, two candidates for the Chicago Cubs job. The Cubs top prospects continue to make noise in the Arizona Fall League and are being recognized for it while the farm system was ranked fifth in the major league.

In postseason baseball, David Ortiz and unsung star David Ross provided the offense behind Jon Lester‘s stellar pitching for the Boston Red Sox’s 3-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the World Series. With a 3-2 series lead the Red Sox will look to clinch their first World Series title at Fenway Park since 1918 with John Lackey on the mound against rookie Michael Wacha.
