The ‘Morning Marquee’ is a new series here on Cubbies Crib that will provide readers links from traditional and non-traditional media from around the web to get the latest information on the MLB and the Cubs to start your day.

Today another loose deadline as been set for ‘Girardi Watch’ as front runner for the Cubs manager vacancy makes his decision on whether he will accept the Yankees offer or come home to Wrigley. The Arizona Fall League began yesterday and top Cubs prospects Javier Baez, Kris Bryant, and others are among the top prospects in the majors. Around the league, the Red Sox outlasted the Rays and advanced to the ALCS for the first time since 2008 and the Tigers evened their series with the A’s to force a Game 5 in Oakland to see who faces the Red Sox in the ALCS. The NLDS Central division battle concludes tonight with Game 5 in St. Louis as the Pirates look to make it to the NLCS for the first time since 1992.
