Former Cub DeJesus claimed by Tampa Bay

According to Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago, the Tampa Bay Rays have claimed former Cubs outfielder David DeJesus from the waiver wire, after the Washington Nationals placed the 33-year old on waivers last week.

The former Chicago Cubs outfielder and fan favorite DeJesus was placed on waivers by the Washington Nationals shortly after he was claimed by the organization last week. The Cubs and Nationals agreed to terms on a deal that sent DeJesus to Washington for what is now being called a “nominal amount” of cash.

Here is the previous Cubbies Crib coverage of the deals involving DeJesus.
