Quick Hits: Matt Garza “Cleared For Takeoff”

In true Matt Garza form, the Cubs’ resident ace tweeted this morning:
"I’m cleared for takeoff!! Strap it on tight cause we are going on one helluva ride… #getitdone#freedom#2013"
It’s pretty safe to say that after yesterday’s elbow scan, he’s now been cleared by team doctors to start taking part in baseball activities again. This is fantastic news considering how much he was missed in the rotation last year and should be back to his former self.
