Over the last couple of years, Ryan Theriot has really come onto the scene as a true fan favorite for the Chicago Cubs. But Theriot is not making any fans within the Cubs front office. Yesterday, the Cubs officially announced the signing of Xavier Nady to a one year deal worth $3.3 million as a base, and an additional $2 million in incentives based on games played. The Cubs also added infield depth today, as Bruce Levine reports that the Cubs are set to announce that they have signed former Arizona Diamondback infielder Chad Tracy to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. The 29 year old veteran struggled last year by only posting a .237 average, but signs point to him rebounding as he is a career .280 hitter.
