The inevitable has happened: the Cubs have placed Geovany Soto on the DL with a strained oblique. The injury was suffered during batting practice before Wednesday’s game. Carrie Muskat says Soto could miss a month, about the same amount of time Ryan Dempster the Toecrusher is expected to be on the shelf. It’s not getting better – it’s getting worse.
